Welcome to the Education & Outreach website for the opera Odysseus Unwound

This site is a chronicle of the participation projects done by CHROMA as part of its collaboration with Tête à Tête opera company on Odysseus Unwound - based on the story of Odysseus. The opera included singers, instrumentalists from CHROMA, and knitters and spinners from Shetland.

With a score by Julian Grant and a libretto by Hattie Naylor, Odysseus Unwound had its world première at Alexandra Palace Theatre on 10 October 2006, then toured to the Kulturhus, Sandnes in a co-production with Stavanger2008. It then toured the UK, finishing in Lerwick on mainland Shetland. (See production page for more details on the opera itself).
