CHROMA is delighted to be collaborating with the integrated dance company Lantern (based in Ely), performing with its production of “Tela/Bride”, the score for which was composed by CHROMA’s violinist Marcus Barcham-Stevens. Lantern includes people of all ages from teenagers to pensioners, some of whom have severe learning disabilities.
Lantern Dance Theatre Company, CHROMA and Emily Haysom Lantern Dance Theatre Company's most ambitious project to date: a triple first of new music, choreography and art installation. The new dance work is by Helen Pettit to "Tela", a 40-minute quintet for flute, clarinet, violin, 'cello and piano by Marcus Barcham-Stevens (violinist with CHROMA) commissioned by the company, played live by CHROMA, led by the composer. Dance and music have been conceived for performance in the Lady Chapel with "Bride", a large new work commissioned by the company from "Women's Names" textile artist Emily Haysom.
